With $2500 raised for the Baker Institute for Animal Health, and just under $500 raised for Kyle’s Legacy Inc., our inaugural event was a great success! Despite unpredictable New England rainy weather, almost 60 people and 35 pups attended the walk at Borderland State Park in Easton. We walked to honor Kyle’s life, and to express our dedication to not only continue to raise funds, but to work toward a goal of providing financial assistance for preliminary cancer screening and surgeries.
In an effort to help Kyle's Legacy get some momentum when we first started, Our friend, Linda, fellow Puggle Mama and rescuer, ran an online auction to help support our cause. The event raised $300 for Canine Cancer Research.
Divine Consign's owner Eileen is a long time supporter of Animal Rescue and a good friend of Tina's. She offered the use of her store for a private, invitation only shopping event to our friends and family. We had wine and cheese to enjoy while shopping the wide variety of novelty items, clothing, home decor, jewelry and networking about Kyle's Legacy Inc.
A portion of money raised from items purchased during this event were donated to Kyle's Legacy Inc. Between her donation from sales and cash donations we raised $250!
Kyle's Legacy was invited to take part in Seekonk, MA's annual vendor fair. This was a great opportunity to share our mission and get Kyle's Legacy's name out to a public venue.
We raised about $200 through small awareness item sales and raffle tickets.
This was a fun filled family event! Kyle's Legacy was invited to be an awareness vendor for this very large event held at the shelter where Founder and Director, Tina, volunteers each weekend. There were many people who stopped by to share their stories of heartache as well as people who were unaware that dogs could even get cancer. Education is the key to getting people involved. We will spread the word and explain the types of research and treatments that are available. We also raised just shy of $100.
In recognizing that canine cancer is such a common and heartbreaking reality for so many families, this year's principal event beneficiary was Kyle's Legacy Inc. - while keeping with the tradition of also raising money to support the rescued animals of Survivor Tails Animal Rescue.
The Ensemble auction included original artwork of varying mediums, city excursion packages, tickets to sporting events and more! The evening’s activities were accompanied by a live Jazz performance by the Walberg-Olson Group, and consisted of complimentary wine and refreshments, a JP Licks ice cream station, a wide variety of raffle prizes, the auction itself, and a red carpet photo opportunity.
Almost $3,000 was raised!
Divine Consign graciously hosted us for a second event before the holidays. Among many laughs and a casual fashion show, we had wine and cheese while shopping and networking.
A portion of money raised from items purchased during this event were donated to Kyle's Legacy Inc. Between donations from sales and cash donations we raised an additional $150!
On November 16th, we held a Dough Raiser at the Braintree Pizzeria Uno. 15% of all sales from the day that referenced Kyle's Legacy Inc. we donated to us. Between the sales and raffle tickets we raised $320.
Our friend Tanya is a Scentsy rep and offered to do a one-week online fundraiser for us before the holidays, donating a portion of the sales.
Several people purchased these wonderful wax treats and accessories and we raised $100.
